Yeah.
I couldn’t agree more. Preservice teacher education is abysmal right now in most places. Students training to be teachers need to have more in-school experience. If you’re a chemistry major, you spend 10-15 hrs a WEEK in “lab.” Isn’t the lab of education the classroom? If so, then why are most kids spending between 0-50 hrs in the classroom before student teaching?
